This is regarding my nearly 5 year old daughter. From the time she was little we took on a kind of open and natural method if there can be one in the way we brought her up. For example, we've never woken her up from her sleep. Somehow it has worked pretty well. As she always wakes up on time for school and happily at that. We've taken a similar attitude to her potty training . We've never made her sit on her potty when she hasn't had an urge to sit herself. As a result, her movements are quite irregular and unpredictable. She goes to school and we feel that perhaps if she has regular movements in the morning, she can attend her activities there without distraction or incovenience. How should we potty train her so that she can have her movements in the morning? Should we potty train her at all? Or is this a hopeless case, doomed to irregular bowel movements for life? Please help. * Sent from AltaVista
