I admit it... I am a hack and a scrounge.  A few years ago, I had one of the original Motorola Cell phones.  It was big and bulky by todays standard, probably 7 tall by 2.5 wide by 2 thick.  Two days after I bought a new battery for it, it fell out of my pocket while riding my mototcycle, the only thing left was the battery pack.  Being scrounge that I am, I cut the plastic housing apart and found a tidy little 5 cell battery pack inside.  I do not know what type or brand the batteries are, but my charger charges it.  I have never tried a fast charge, but on slow rate, it charges just fine.  This thing is the best battery pack I have every owned in 20 years of RCn.  I started out using it in my junker models cause I did not trust it.  Now it is my most trusted pack, I just wish I had a few more of them.  Does any body have a guess at to what type of cells were used in the Motrola hand phones several years ago?
