Dear fellow dwellers of the low end: This is a courtesy notice to all participants, past and present, of alt.guitar.bass Usenet group, of an impending auction of the www.altguitarbass.com domain name, and the website contents.  The web hosting is about to expire and will not be included in the auction. The contents include, but is not limited to, member profiles, FAQs, weird bass pics and bass sounds.  The auction will not include the Google adwords that are currently being used.  The new owner will have to create their own account, if desired. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to charity. Personal note: It is eight years since I first started the website and it's time to let go.  Someone else can do a much better job or it could just die a natural death.  Either way, I did have a lot of fun keeping it together when I had the time.
