Is there a way to feed newborn kittens? I have four babies just over two weeks old. The mother is doing the best she can, but there's one tiny one, the runt of the litter, who doesn't seem to be getting enough to eat and I'm worried sick about it. The cats are inside and have been for over a week when we brought them in from the intense heat outside. The mother is completely comfortable, uses the litter box, eats with our other cats, goes outside for air and comes in again no problem. But I'd like to see this little one get more to eat. Any suggestions, or what to give it or how? Thanks so much. Rick.

It had problems finding a nipple (even though there were only  3 babies). I don't know if this is the right thing to do but I would wait until the other  two were nursing and had GESA's milk flowing and then I would pull one of them off (sounds mean but they quickly found a new nipple) and would grasp the unfed one by the neck and push its mouth onto the now primed nipple where it would begin to feed contentedly. After awhile of having to do this it eventually got the idea, and when I finally adopted the kitties out they were basically (the  boy was slightly larger than the girls) all the same size. Ironically the one that had problems nursing was the first one to eat solid food. good luck, ][ncogni']['o

and when you pull the fleas off with the comb, drop the fleas in a glass of water with a little dishwashing liquid it will make them sink.
