Is it legal to perform this sort of a searh? Anyway to do it for free? Where are the companies getting this information? It is usually Not from the phone serivce providers, but from marketing information, e.g. warranty cards, etc. - RM

Warrant Cards refers to those 'mail this in to start your warranty' cards that are really no more than a marketing information gathering tool. But people fill them out. The question is, who processes that information? - RM
