mobile telephone $ky asking for your mobile telephone number for security

Could be, but I read somewhere that they don't insist on it and even when they take it down they use it to call you on if your digibox has a phone line related problem or you're on the internet. They cannot insist on it, esp. if like me, you don't have one I do have one, but I know $ky always have something up their sleeve Tell them you don't have one anyway. I told then that to avoid an argument, I thought it would move things on faster than just telling them to fuck off - and it did, they asked for a security password instead. Hang up?

Spoke to $ky today about a general enquiry and they want to add my mobile number for future security checks, but may be they are thinking ?????. Think twice - Mobile SPAM daveF Definitely sounds like for mobile spam purposes. I imagine Sky would love to text people to advertise that their latest shite offering is premiering that evening.

df <dfuk(delete)@btinternet.com wrote in message Spoke to $ky today about a general enquiry and they want to add my mobile number for future security checks, but may be they are thinking ?????. Think twice - Mobile SPAM daveF Tell them that you're on the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) with both your home and mobile numbers, and that they do not have your permission to call your number. Also remind them that if they do call the individual who called may be liable for a ?5000 fine, however if the company has no TPS checking procedures in place then it's the company who is liable. But as you say, mobile SPAM incoming..... If you are a Sky customer, they are allowed to call you. The TPS only prevents companies who do not have an existing business relationship with you from calling.

I wanted to alter the package but the sub is in my girlfriends name (even though its on my CC) - hence what I assume to be the reason for extra security At least they let you do this. My Dad had a Freeserve Anytime account, which I paid for with my credit card. When the credit card expired, I phoned FS with the new expiry date so that he could continue having the service. But as soon as the FS bloke on the phone realised that I was not my Dad, he refused to make any changes to the account information, despite the fact that it was *my* credit card. He said if he made any changes, he would lose his job. In fact he wanted me to tell my Dad my credit card details, and then get my Dad to phone up with this information. When I said that I didn't think my credit card company would be very pleased with me giving out my card details to someone else, he suggested that I phone up again but next time pretend to be my Dad!
